Due to forecasted wintry precipitation, the Northwest R-I School District will have an AMI DAY on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
PreK-5 students should check for teacher communications for AMI lessons.
Secondary students should check their email and Google Classroom for assignments.
This week's #TeacherProudTuesday honoree is Woodridge Middle School math teacher Kierstin Bueter! Dobb's Diner had a lovely book tasting this week. What a fun way for students to explore new genres!
7th graders in Mrs. Brutcher's class had hands-on experience with the 3 types of rocks. Students were able to look at and classify the different characteristics of each rock type to help them study for their upcoming test.

Mrs. Dobbs led all 8th-grade ELA classes through a "High School Ready Research Review". Our students are sharpening their research skills, preparing for success, and building a strong foundation for the future.
Student Lighthouse has been collecting money for the Jefferson County Foster Care Fund all week. Tomorrow, 1/31, they will end the week with a concession stand, and all proceeds will go to this organization. Students can purchase snacks and drinks for $1-2.

Ms. Bueter's Math Lab class practiced multiplication facts using playing cards—a fun and engaging way to sharpen their skills!

Students in Ms. Cunningham's classes played a board game version of the popular game Wordle. This game increases vocabulary, critical thinking, and improved spelling skills. The game also boosts cognitive function, memory, and attention to detail.
Do you have any children's books gathering dust? Do you need an excuse to clean out your bookshelves? Ms. Naumann's Lion Time has the answer! From now until the end of February, they are collecting gently used children's books, which will be donated to the Northwest Early Childhood Center. Please send them with your student or drop them off in the main office.
