WMS will be hosting a Block Party for students on Friday, February 6. There will be different activities, crafts, and games set up in various classrooms for the students to enjoy. It will be an evening filled with fun and laughter! Tickets will be sold from February 2-6, in the mornings. Students who purchase a ticket will go directly to the gym after school and be supervised until the Block Party starts at 3 pm. Parents can pick students up at 5 pm.

Mrs. Dobbs is challenging our students to participate in the Buddies and Books Reading Challenge! Students are asked to encourage a friend to read the same fiction book as them and read it from start to finish. Then, they will create a 3-D book report that will be displayed in the library to promote that book to others. This is a fun, optional reading challenge that helps students dive deeply into a great book with a friend. Ask your student if they have signed up!

WMS Student Lighthouse is proud to support Nurses for Newborns, an organization dedicated to providing home-based services that promote the health, safety, and well-being of babies and their families. We are collecting donations of formula, diapers, wipes, and baby care products to help support local newborns and their families in need.
Donations can be dropped off at the WMS Main Office. Every item makes a difference and helps give babies a healthy start!

We are also looking for sponsors for trivia rounds—a great way to support our band program and showcase your business or family name during the event. In addition, we’ll be hosting a silent auction featuring items generously donated by families and local businesses, so come ready to bid and support our community!

This is a reminder to any families who pick their students up in private transportation in the afternoon that the new procedure will begin tomorrow. Please park in the gym lot, and students will be released to you after the buses have left. Thanks for your cooperation.

The Woodridge staff were challenged with creating gingerbread houses. Staff and students voted and crowned their favorite house.....Stranger Things! Second place was Clash Royale, and third place was Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer.
