Today is the first day of Board of Education Appreciation Week! We’re celebrating the incredible individuals who serve on our Board of Education and volunteer their time, energy, and passion to our students, staff, and community. Their leadership helps shape the future of our schools, ensuring a high-quality education for every student.
Join us in saying THANK YOU for their commitment and dedication to excellence and for making a difference each day!

Today, our National Junior Honor Society members rolled out the red carpet for our incoming 6th graders, giving them a VIP tour of their future school! With big smiles and plenty of enthusiasm, they led groups through hallways, pointed out important spots, and shared tips to make middle school a breeze. From classrooms to the cafeteria, they made sure our newest students felt right at home. It was a day full of warm welcomes, helpful advice, and a sneak peek at the exciting journey ahead!

Ms. Naumann took a few of her Lion Time students on a special trip to the Early Childhood Center to deliver the books that were generously donated. The kids were thrilled to see so many books ready to be loved and enjoyed!
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed—your generosity is helping to inspire young readers!

The Annual Online Registration Update for the 2025-2026 school year and for 2025 K-12 Summer School is now open. All families must complete the online registration by May 2, 2025, to ensure transportation for both 2025 Summer School and the 2025-2026 school year. Summer School is tentatively scheduled for June 2 - June 30, 2025.
If registration is not complete by the deadline, your student will not receive transportation for the first full week of summer school or for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.
Please visit the Northwest R-I School website at https://www.northwestschools.net/o/nsd/page/online-enrollment-and-registration.

Congratulations to the March Students of the Month!

🚨 WARNING: Bad Luck Alert! 🚨
Forgetting to order your yearbook by March 13 is asking for a year of bad luck. 🍀 You’ll step on Legos, lose all your socks in the dryer, and your phone battery will mysteriously stay at 1% all day. 😱
Avoid the curse—order your yearbook now before it's too late! 📖

The Woodridge Middle School Industrial Arts classes, taught by Ryan Mueller, wrapped up their unit on injectable plastics with a field trip to Buckert Mold and Machine Company in Fenton, MO. today. Students got a firsthand look at the manufacturing process—from raw materials to molding, manufacturing, assembly, packaging, and shipping.
A big thank you to Buckert Mold and Machine Company for hosting and giving our students an inside look at the industry!

🍕 Today’s the day! 🍴

Thank you for supporting WMS! 🙌

The WMS Robotics Club went to North Kirkwood Middle School on Saturday.
Congratulations to the Rough Riders, Elliot T., Carter B., and Karson K., who qualified for State through their efforts on the skills field!

This is the last week to donate children's picture books for the Early Childhood Book Drive. We are about 75 books short of our goal. The Lion Time that brings the most books will receive a donut party! Books can be brought to Ms. Naumann or the main office.

8th-grade students explored stations and determined which of Newton’s laws were present. Students are working hard to learn how mass, speed, gravity, and friction affect things in motion!

Support local and give back! 🍽️ Woodridge is excited to partner with Saucy's in High Ridge. Dine with them on February 26, and 10% of all sales will be donated to WMS. Mark your calendar and enjoy a delicious meal for a great cause! 🙌

Amanda Tindall’s kindergarten class at Murphy Elementary recently brought their imaginations to life! Her students drew unique monsters and created background stories for them. Tindall then teamed up with Woodridge Middle School FACS teacher Jessica Miers, whose students were learning to sew.
Miers’ students took the kindergarteners’ drawings and transformed them into real plush creations! Yesterday, Tindall’s class received their handmade monsters, while Miers’ students got to see their reactions live via Google Meet.
A wonderful example of creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning across grade levels!

Student Lighthouse will be holding Quarter Wars for the rest of the month. Students are encouraged to drop some change into the bucket for the teacher they want to see pied in the face! All money raised will go to the Pre-MAP Prep Assembly in April.

Due to snow covered roads and continued snow, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed for a traditional snow day on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Our last day of school is now scheduled to be Friday, May 30, 2025.
Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.
