This month's Leadership Luau focused on Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw! We learned about taking care of our mind, heart, body, and spirit. During today's Luau we took care of our body by doing some yoga!
Our March Luau spirit theme was crazy hair day! We had lots of fun and silly hairstyles today!

We are celebrating Dr. Seuss week March 10th-13th!

🎉 Huge Congratulations to Ms. Kristen Price! 🎉
We are beyond thrilled to celebrate our very own Ms. Kristen Price on being named Elementary Teacher of the Year! 🎉👏
Ms Kristen works tirelessly every day to support her colleagues, students, and families. Whether she’s teaching, volunteering, or creating resources behind the scenes, she always pours her heart into ensuring that every student feels encouraged, challenged, and valued. Her passion and dedication shine in everything she does!

Friday is the last day to order a 2024-2025 yearbook!

Our Leadership Luau theme for Wednesday, March 5th is...CRAZY HAIR DAY!

Ms. Clare and Ms. Kristen's classes met today for their buddy class activity! Ms. Clare's friends invited Ms. Kristen's friends to their classroom to learn all about Braille. Each student got to make a name tag with their name written in Braille so they could feel what it's like to read their name using their sense of touch. Our classes also got to explore different books with Braille and Braille learning tools.

Our Student Lighthouse Teams met today to pick themes for our upcoming Luaus. We also learned about Habit 7 and practiced so we can teach the new habit at the Leadership Luau next week.

Ms. Alyssa’s PM class met their goal of being ready to go home before the 5 minute timer ends. The class voted to celebrate with a donut party!

Due to snow covered roads and continued snow, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed for a traditional snow day on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Our last day of school is now scheduled to be Friday, May 30, 2025.
Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.

Good morning, Lion Nation. The snow band arrived early this morning and looks to keep going through the morning commute. Though this band is light, it will accumulate, and we are expecting heavy snow around dismissal.
Out of an abundance of precaution, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Be safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.

Ms. Haley’s friends brought Valentine’s to their buddy class buddies in Ms. Alyssa’s room today!

Due to forecasted wintry precipitation, the Northwest R-I School District will have an AMI DAY on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
PreK-5 students should check for teacher communications for AMI lessons.
Secondary students should check their email and Google Classroom for assignments.

We held our annual Valentine’s Dance on Friday night! We loved seeing our students dressed up and having a great time with their special adults. 💖
