
Is your child starting kindergarten this year? Here is a list of what you will need in order to register. Online registration begins Friday, February 7, 2025!
The child must turn 5 years old before Aug. 1, 2025.
The documents needed will include vaccination records, birth certificate, and
two items from the list below. Online registration cannot be completed without these documents.
Provide TWO proofs of residency from the list below. The documentation must include the parent/guardian's name, address and date. Please note: you may only submit ONE utility bill.
Mortgage Statement for the residence dated within 30 days of submission.
Rental/Lease Agreement signed by the landlord and tenant, dated and unexpired.
Deed of Residence.
Closing Statement for Residence dated within 30 days of submission.
ONE Utility Bill - gas, electric, water, sewer, cable or internet dated within 30 days of submission. Final or disconnect notices will not be accepted.
Real Estate Property Tax Statement dated within 1 year of submission. (personal property tax statements are not accepted)
Federal Court or State Court documents dated within 30 days of submission.
Proof of Homeowners Insurance or Renters Insurance dated within 1 year of submission and has not expired.
If you need assistance uploading or completing the online application, please contact the elementary school your child will attend. Call Durham Transportation at 636-552-9235 if you do not know your child’s attending school.

Congratulations to Karlee Schmitt, social worker at the Northwest Early Childhood Center and this week's #SupportStaffSuperstar! "Karlee utilizes all possible resources and responds to the needs of families and students promptly," said Susan Wingenbach, director of the ECC. Karlee is also is the point person for the district's food pantry and diaper distribution, helping families all over the district. Thank you, Ms. Karlee, for everything you do for our students and families!


This past week, ECC hosted a Family Leadership Night with a focus on Social-Emotional Learning. Families participated in activities that gave tips and resources on how to use the 7-Habits to support social-emotional development at home.










In the Spring of every year, the Northwest School District recognizes outstanding employees and community members for their dedication to our students, staff, and community. ECC director Susan Wingenbach said of Ms. Crawford, "She is a tireless advocate for children and families of children with special needs, often going above and beyond to make sure they are heard."
