We’re warming up the countdown to winter break with a week of holiday spirit!
NWR-1 offers several preschool programs to district families. You can learn about each program on our website and looking under Programs & Services.
All programs require a developmental screening prior to enrollment to help us place your child in the appropriate program for continued growth and development. We have several options and they often go to a waitlist. You can get a child on the waitlist for 2 of the 5 programs prior to them turning 3 years old. If you are interested in a program for one of your children, please schedule a screening with PAT.

Recent fundraisers have helped us improve our speaker system for events and upgrade our multipurpose room/indoor play area, including gross motor equipment, child-sized exercise pieces, sensory paths, and other additions that make our learning environment stronger for our littlest Lions. 💙🤍🦁

Today is Parents as Teachers Appreciation Day! Thank you all for helping our little Lions create a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We appreciate you and the work you do for our students and families!
🚀 Space Jam Spotlight!
Our students came together to learn all about Habit 3: Put First Things First! 🌟 The Student Lighthouse Teams led the 7 Habits song and shared ways to prioritize what’s most important. We also celebrated Ms. Kaylyn’s PM class for having the best attendance in October and recognized our students with perfect attendance for the first quarter! Way to go, leaders! 💫
We want to congratulate our Support Staff Superstar of the Week, Jen Schejbal, who is an administrative assistant at the Northwest Early Childhood Center. Susan Wingenbach, director of the ECC, said "Administrative Assistants are the hub of the school and Jen is truly a multi-tasking genius and is inspiring to see in action." Congratulations, Ms. Jen, and thank you for everything that you do!
