Is your child starting kindergarten this year? Here is a list of what you will need in order to register. Online registration begins Friday, February 7, 2025!
The child must turn 5 years old before Aug. 1, 2025.
The documents needed will include vaccination records, birth certificate, and
two items from the list below. Online registration cannot be completed without these documents.
Provide TWO proofs of residency from the list below. The documentation must include the parent/guardian's name, address and date. Please note: you may only submit ONE utility bill.
Mortgage Statement for the residence dated within 30 days of submission.
Rental/Lease Agreement signed by the landlord and tenant, dated and unexpired.
Deed of Residence.
Closing Statement for Residence dated within 30 days of submission.
ONE Utility Bill - gas, electric, water, sewer, cable or internet dated within 30 days of submission. Final or disconnect notices will not be accepted.
Real Estate Property Tax Statement dated within 1 year of submission. (personal property tax statements are not accepted)
Federal Court or State Court documents dated within 30 days of submission.
Proof of Homeowners Insurance or Renters Insurance dated within 1 year of submission and has not expired.
If you need assistance uploading or completing the online application, please contact the elementary school your child will attend. Call Durham Transportation at 636-552-9235 if you do not know your child’s attending school.
Cedar Springs 5th graders were able to create artworks for the 8th Cape Lookout National Seashore art exhibit from May 1 - November 1, 2025. Each student created an individual piece of artwork with the theme of environment on the coast and in the oceans.
Students then collaborated to use parts of EVERY students individual artwork to create a single cohesive piece to paint and then detail with markers. Every student had opportunities to paint and to draw on the final piece.
This experience was through the International Fibers Consortium. A total of 30 canvases will be displayed in this show.

This morning, we visited Cedar Springs Elementary and spent time in the classrooms of Ms. Oglesby, Ms. Brown, Ms. Evans, and Ms. Bieker. From math reviews to reading and writing, students were engaged, learning, and having fun!
Four students from Cedar Springs Elementary have had artwork chosen to be on display in the Missouri state capitol for Youth Art Month during the month of March through April 10, 2025, when there will be a ceremony celebrating fine arts and all of the students whose work was chosen for display.

Sophie Conway with Perspective Color Wheel (5th Grade)
Lucy Rowden with Dragon Eye (4th Grade)
Kelsey Belcher with Patterned Turtle (3rd Grade)
In the Spring of every year, the Northwest School District recognizes outstanding employees and community members for their dedication to our students, staff, and community. "Calling all boys soccer players grades 4-8. The Northwest Soccer Program is hosting their annual Winter Soccer Academy starting January 15th at Woodridge Middle School. Donate to the Santa’s Little Snackerz Food Drive and help ensure Northwest students have enough to eat over the winter break! Santa's Little Snackerz Food Drive takes place Dec. 2-13, 2024. Students can leave their donations at the Cashier Desk at participating Northwest schools, or at the front office at the Early Childhood Center.

Water has overtaken many of the roads in the Northwest School District today. Currently, the Big River is set to crest at 28’ at 6:00 p.m. tonight. We would not have time for the water to recede and for us to have adequate time to check roads before morning buses. Therefore, we are going to have another (Alternative Method of Instruction) AMI day Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.
