Summer School students at Cedar Springs Elementary had a fun time this afternoon as they took part in Safety Land, a giant board game which teaches kids about safety ranging from microwaves and barking dogs to household chemicals, bicycle helmets, and using crosswalks.
Safety Land will continue through the week at CSE, with each class getting to play and learn. Safety Land is a part of the Safety Street program, sponsored and presented by St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Due to snow covered roads and continued snow, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed for a traditional snow day on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Our last day of school is now scheduled to be Friday, May 30, 2025.
Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.

Good morning, Lion Nation. The snow band arrived early this morning and looks to keep going through the morning commute. Though this band is light, it will accumulate, and we are expecting heavy snow around dismissal.
Out of an abundance of precaution, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Be safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.
