The Northwest District instrument try-out night is next week! While the focus is on our current 5th graders, this event is also open to any of our current 6th or 7th graders who would like to join the band program. Some of the best band students have started as 7th and 8th-grade beginners, so it is never too late to learn! Mr. Boxdorfer will be there and is looking forward to helping our kids begin their journey in our band program! Email nboxdorfer@northwestschools.net with any questions.

Congratulations to the April Students of the Month!
We’re excited to kick off our last fundraiser of the year in partnership with aToasted Coffee House! From April 1 through April 17, you can support our school while stocking up on some delicious treats. Choose from a variety of dry mixes for baked goods, loose-leaf teas, and freshly ground coffee.
The best part? Orders will arrive just in time for Mother’s Day (May 6)—perfect for gifting or treating someone special!
Order forms will be sent home with students, and thank you for helping us make this fundraiser a success!

A BIG THANK YOU to Wheelin' Skate Center for their generous prize donation of free skate admission to ALL students who submitted a project for judging.

NJHS members have been teaching Leader in Me lessons to the sixth and seventh-grade Lion Times. Ms. Atkinson's Lion Time wanted to thank their leaders for all their hard work! All the NJHS members did a phenomenal job, and we appreciate their hard work and dedication.
The Valley Middle School Family and Community Partners Action Team and the Student Lighthouse Team will be hosting a STEAM Night on Thursday, April 2nd from 5:30 to 7:30 at Valley Middle School. Students and families are invited to participate in a variety of different experiments, activities, and exhibits centered around science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Experiments include fingerprinting, origami, tin foil boats, robots, slime, math games, art exhibits, and much more! The cost will be $5 per family.
Attention all 8th graders! Don't forget to order your shirts! All orders are due April 10!

The 8th-grade class will be hosting a Snack Day on Friday during all 3 lunch shifts! Students can purchase a variety of snacks and drinks for $1-$2. All proceeds will go towards the 8th grade end of year celebration!
