Water has overtaken many of the roads in the Northwest School District today. Currently, the Big River is set to crest at 28’ at 6:00 p.m. tonight. We would not have time for the water to recede and for us to have adequate time to check roads before morning buses. Therefore, we are going to have another (Alternative Method of Instruction) AMI day Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.

Dear Northwest Families,
We have been monitoring the flooding and watching the forecast of the Big River. Several roads in the district are impassable and the Big River will crest during school hours tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, we will have an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day November 6, 2024.

Congratulations to this week's #TeacherProudTuesday honoree, House Springs Elementary reading teacher Mary Wigge! HSE principal Angie Ritzel said "Mrs. Wigge's knowledge and love for reading is evident in her approach to teaching and her passion for advocating for always doing what is best for students." Thanks, Mrs. Wigge, for all you do for HSE students!
