We're out and about today, welcoming our students back from the extended winter break. This morning, we stopped in to visit our friends at High Ridge Elementary. Reading, indoor recess, and art were among the topics we saw today.

Let's all congratulate High Ridge Elementary paraprofessional Raye Wiedner for being this week's #SupportStaffSuperstar honoree!
"There is nothing Raye can’t or won’t do for HRE! She is a relationship builder for every student. With a smile, a wave or a hug she greets every student with joy," said HRE principal Heidi Mackey.

🦁📕 It's BOOK FAIR Time! 📚🦁

Water has overtaken many of the roads in the Northwest School District today. Currently, the Big River is set to crest at 28’ at 6:00 p.m. tonight. We would not have time for the water to recede and for us to have adequate time to check roads before morning buses. Therefore, we are going to have another (Alternative Method of Instruction) AMI day Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.

Dear Northwest Families,
We have been monitoring the flooding and watching the forecast of the Big River. Several roads in the district are impassable and the Big River will crest during school hours tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, we will have an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day November 6, 2024.

Here are our HRE students & Mrs. Lomax that sold 7 boxes during our Chocolate Fundraiser! They received their cool RC Stunt Cars today! Way to go Team 🦁 #HRELeaders
