Ms. Stahlman’s third graders at Maple Grove Elementary had a special visit from Ms. Amanda and Chef Tori with Northwest food service provider SFE! They brought the Smoothie Bike, teaching students about the benefits of dairy while blending up a delicious treat.
Students took turns pedaling to power the blender, mixing strawberries, banana, yogurt, and milk into a sweet and healthy smoothie. A fun and tasty way to learn about nutrition!

Due to snow covered roads and continued snow, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed for a traditional snow day on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Our last day of school is now scheduled to be Friday, May 30, 2025.
Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.

Good morning, Lion Nation. The snow band arrived early this morning and looks to keep going through the morning commute. Though this band is light, it will accumulate, and we are expecting heavy snow around dismissal.
Out of an abundance of precaution, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Be safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.

Due to forecasted wintry precipitation, the Northwest R-I School District will have an AMI DAY on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
PreK-5 students should check for teacher communications for AMI lessons.
Secondary students should check their email and Google Classroom for assignments.
