Today is Parents as Teachers Appreciation Day! Thank you all for helping our little Lions create a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We appreciate you and the work you do for our students and families!

We want to congratulate our Support Staff Superstar of the Week, Jen Schejbal, who is an administrative assistant at the Northwest Early Childhood Center. Susan Wingenbach, director of the ECC, said "Administrative Assistants are the hub of the school and Jen is truly a multi-tasking genius and is inspiring to see in action." Congratulations, Ms. Jen, and thank you for everything that you do!

Leadership is sweet!!

We feel good! Oh, we feel so good!! HEY!
NHS StuCo ready to welcome almost 800 spirited leaders from the STL area.

Valley Middle School RISE and NCAT students got a jump start on Halloween as they went trick or treating at the Northwest Administrative Center offices this morning. Lots of smiles, fun costumes, and jokes made for a good time for the students and the NAC staff.
WMS does love their shenanigans. In the Halloween spirit!!

Night two of Parent-Teacher Conferences was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out tonight.

Student-led conferences are a fantastic way for our students to showcase their learning! Thank you for a wonderful night of Parent-Teacher Conferences.

This evening, we celebrated Northwest District Teacher of the Year Kristen Price at the Missouri Teacher of the Year Recognition Banquet. The banquet is held each year to recognize the top educators in the State of Missouri. Congratulations, Ms. Kristen! You make us all proud!

The Woodridge Middle School Art Club, sponsored by Macey Bruce, put their creativity to good use by making dog toys from materials donated by students and staff. Today, they donated the toys to Jen Dix from 4 Paws 4 Rescue for dogs waiting for their forever homes.

High Ridge Elementary has been busy today! Mrs. Smith’s kindergarteners are learning lowercase letters and their sounds, Mr. Baker’s fifth graders are writing to compare and contrast, and Mrs. Banks’s second graders are crafting personal narratives.

It’s a beautiful day for learning!
Ms. Krampf’s first grade class spent part of the afternoon exploring new math concepts. We love seeing our young Lions so excited to learn!

Work is progressing on the Valley Middle School Fine Arts addition. Here's a sneak peak inside!

Today is Custodial Staff Appreciation Day! We want to thank every single one of our Custodial Staff across the district for everything they do. From waxing floors to setting up tables and chairs for events, and so much more, our Custodial Staff is the absolute best. Across our district, we all want to say "Thank you!" for all you do for us in Northwest Lion Nation!

Cedar Springs Elementary students were hard at work today!
Ms. Foster’s 4th grade class kicked off their new book, The Wild Robot Escapes. Mrs. Toenjes’s class tackled division in math. Mrs. Anderson’s class focused on reading responses by finding text evidence to support their answers. It's always great to see our students focused and attentive as they learn.

STEM classes are always fun! We stopped in on Mr. Partin's 5th hour Robotics class to see students busy working on their creations.

Woodridge Lighthouse students collected more than 250 games for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)!
CASA volunteers support children in foster care, and the games will serve as fun icebreakers to help children and their advocates connect through play.
Way to go, Lighthouse! We’re proud of you!

STEM labs are always fun!
Mr. Mitchell's third hour science class at Valley Middle School worked through a lab this morning where they made thermometers from canisters, clay, isopropyl alcohol, food coloring, and a straw. Students then placed their thermometers in different temperatures of water for observation.
