Board of Education Approves New Base Salary and Existing Experience Credit

At the March 2023 board meeting, the Northwest R-I Board of Education approved an agreement between the Northwest Teachers Association and the District for a pay increase for teachers beginning in the 2023-24 academic year. The agreement includes a raise of $1,000 to the starting salary for all new teachers, making the base salary $40,000. The agreement also allows experienced teachers to bring up to 10 years of experience to the salary scale when accepting a position at Northwest.
