District Wide Testing Dates

With the coming of spring means our students and staff will soon be preparing for the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) testing as well as End of Course (EOC) exams. Both MAP and EOC exams evaluate students' progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards. They provide important information that contributes to decisions concerning individual students, groups of students and educational programs.

The MAP assessments are given in three subject areas: Communication Arts, Mathematics and Science. Communication Arts and Math are given to students in grades 3-5 while 5th and 8th graders are tested in Science. MAP testing for the Northwest School District is scheduled for April 18 through May 12th. Please check with your building's principal and/or on your child's school website for exact testing dates.

The EOC exams are given annually at Northwest High School. Here is the breakdown of what students can expect based on their grade:

  • Freshman will be tested on Alegbra I and Biology
  • Sophomores will be tested on English II
  • Juniors will be tested on Government

EOC testing at Northwest High School is set for April 19-26.
