The Northwest R-I Board of Education has approved the hiring of Ann Hammond to be the new principal of Brennan Woods Elementary School.
Hammond began her educational career in 2009 at the De Soto 73 School District in De Soto, Mo. as an elementary special education paraprofessional. From 2010-2017, she was a 6th grade teacher, remaining in the De Soto School District. She was promoted to her most recent role of kindergarten-6th grade assistant principal in 2017.
Hammond earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Blackburn College in 2007, and her Master of Education Administration, K-8 from Missouri Baptist University in 2013.
Hammond will begin her new role at Brennan Woods Elementary on July 1, 2023.
