The Northwest R-I School District Board of Education has approved the hiring of Dr. Jennifer Younkins as the new Director of Administrative Services. She will replace Dr. Jessica DiPaolo, who has been in the role since July 1, 2018.
Younkins has spent her educational career with the Northwest R-I School District. She is currently the Assistant Principal of Special Education at Northwest High School, a role she has held since 2019. Prior to her current role, Younkins was a grade-level assistant principal at the high school from 2010-2019, and was named Assistant Principal of the year in 2018. She was also a counselor for grades 9-12 from 2002-2010, winning the Jefferson County Counselor Association Counselor of the Year award in 2009.
Younkins received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1996. She earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Lindenwood University in 2000, a Master of Arts in Administration from Missouri Baptist University in 2010, and her Doctorate of Educational Leadership in 2015 from Maryville University.
Younkins officially begins her new role in the district on July 1, 2023.
