Hawk Named New Chief Operating Officer of Northwest R-I School District

Dr. Kim Hawk The Northwest R-I School District is proud to announce that Dr. Kim Hawk has been named the new chief operating officer. She will replace Dr. Geoff Macy, who has served in the position since 2014.

Since 2016, Hawk has been superintendent of Plato R-V School District. Prior to her current role, Hawk has held a variety of roles in education, beginning her career in 1992 as a kindergarten-fifth grade reading teacher at Stoutland R-II School District. In 1994, Hawk taught second and fifth grades at Bolivar Intermediate School, where she was also a MAP lead teacher and curriculum facilitator. In 1999, Hawk accepted a position as elementary principal at Warrensburg R-VI. From 2003-2016, Hawk was an intermediate assistant principal, elementary principal, and community resource grants coordinator in the Waynesville R-VI School District. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 1992, her master’s degree in reading in 1997, and her specialist in educational administration in 2003, all from Missouri State University. She earned her doctorate in educational administration from Lindenwood University in 2009.

Hawk officially begins her new role at Northwest on July 1, 2021.
