Bauer Named Principal of Maple Grove Elementary


Aubrey Bauer The Northwest R-I School District is proud to announce that Aubrey Bauer has been named the new principal of Maple Grove Elementary. She will replace Kimm O’Connor, who is retiring after 29 years in education.

Bauer most recently served as the administrative intern at both Cedar Springs and Maple Grove Elementary schools. She began her career in 2007 as a third grade teacher in Chicago, IL, and moved to the Northwest district in 2008. She taught fourth grade at Cedar Springs Elementary from 2008-09, then moved to House Springs Elementary to teach sixth grade from 2009-11. In 2011, Bauer moved to Maple Grove Elementary to teach fourth grade until 2014. She was the summer school principal at Cedar Springs Elementary in 2013 and 2014. Bauer taught fourth grade at Brennan Woods Elementary from 2014-18 before accepting her current position. 

“I am very excited to start my new journey at Maple Grove Elementary,” said Bauer. “This is a very special building with an amazing staff, fantastic students and a wonderful community. I look forward to continuing to instill a love of learning and leadership in the students of Maple Grove.”

Bauer officially begins her new role at Maple Grove Elementary July 1, 2021.
