Dow Named Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education

 

DOW NAMED ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF SECONDARY EDUCATION

Dr. Dorean Dow The Northwest R-I School District is proud to announce that Dr. Doréan Dow has been named the new assistant superintendent of secondary education. She will replace Dr. Tammy Ridgeway, who is retiring after 31 years in education.

Prior to her current role as De Soto #73 School District assistant superintendent, Dow was the director of instruction at Northwest R-I and an English teacher and library media specialist at Hillsboro R-III School District. She currently serves with Northwest Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education, Dr. Grace Green, as the co-facilitator of the St. Louis Area Curriculum Coordinators Association.

“I am excited about returning to Northwest to see how the district has continued to grow and improve in the five years since I last worked there,” said Dow. “The positive, student-centered culture shows there is a dedicated group of educators working hard each day to create the best learning opportunities for students.”

Dow officially begins her role at Northwest July 1, 2021.
