CSIP

After a newly approved District Mission in May 2019, district administrators spent the 2019-2020 school year engaging students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders in revising and updating the Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP) for the 2020-2025 school years.

The Continuous School Improvement Plan was submitted to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in 2023 for review under the new Missouri School Improvement Process (MSIP 6). We are proud to report that the district earned full points for the development and implementation of this important plan and was given accolades for the collaboration with all stakeholders.

The CSIP is the living and guiding document that supports all other plans that the Board of Education reviews on a regular basis, such as the Building School Improvement Plans, the Professional Development Plan, the Assessment Plan, and the Facilities Plan.

The CSIP is reviewed during a Board of Education work session in August, at the Achievement Night in October, and progress updates are provided at Board of Education meetings at least three additional times during the school year (typically January, February, March, and April). This is an opportunity for the Board of Education to collaborate and provide feedback on progress. During the 2023-2024 school year, District administrators added Family Focus Groups to increase parent participation and receive more detailed feedback from parents. These meetings were well attended and continued in the 2024-2025 school year.

In 2025, the first five-year CSIP was updated with new timelines and benchmarks. Since the district was seeing steady, incremental gains, and sustainable change of this magnitude takes time, the decision was made to continue the focus areas and strategies outlined for the 2026-2030 plan cycle. In May 2026, we held our first stakeholder input meeting for this newly revised document.

Progress monitoring and feedback cycles are built into the 2026-2030 plan including Board workshops, four annual BOE updates, Parent Focus Groups, and listen and learn tours at each district facility.
