Lion Care is the Northwest School District’s before and after-school age care program. We are available to all children Pre-K through fifth grade at the Early Childhood Center as well as these elementary schools: Brennan Woods, Cedar Springs, High Ridge, House Springs, Maple Grove, and Murphy.  This program, which is exempt from licensure, supports the education of Northwest Schools through play-based learning; it is not a component of the student’s public education. Families can feel comfortable knowing that Lion Care is a safe and reputable program whose focus is to help students develop personal responsibility, form friendships through social interactions, learn to relate to others with empathy and respect, and develop a sense of confidence and resilience by participating in a variety of activities. The Lion Care curriculum is designed to meet a wide range of personal and cultural interests and development levels. Personal choice and self-initiated learning experiences are encouraged and balanced with structured activities.
