Dr. Paul T. Ziegler

Dr. Paul T. Ziegler is the Superintendent of the Northwest School District. Dr. Ziegler’s career in education began as a special education teacher. Five years later he was promoted to a building level administrator. Within two years Dr. Ziegler was promoted to district level administrator. Since July 1, 2007 he has been Superintendent of School. Dr. Ziegler was honored as the 2016 Pearce Award from the Missouri Association of School Administrations for excellence in education and community leadership among Missouri superintendents. He was also awarded the Heart for Art Appreciation Award by the Missouri Art Education Association.

 

Dr. Ziegler earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. Dr. Ziegler earned his education specialist and administration certification through Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. He earned his Juris Doctorate (law degree), graduating cum laude, from St. Louis University and was admitted to both the Missouri and Illinois bars in 2005 and still maintains his Bar Membership in Missouri.

 

While serving as Superintendent, Dr. Ziegler has devoted time and effort to serving on numerous boards. This includes serving as President of the Missouri Association of School Administrators, Co-Chair of Superintendent’s Council of CHARACTERplus, Executive Board of Northwest Chamber of Commerce, Vantage Credit Union Board of Directors, and the Executive Board of the St. Louis Suburban Athletic Conference.

 

Additionally he has presented on a variety of Educational and Legal topics at the Missouri Association of School Administrators, Missouri Schools Board Association, Missouri Association of School Business Officials, and Legal Seminars. Dr. Ziegler has also served as an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University for five years.
