Dr. Jennifer Hecktor

Dr. Jennifer Hecktor is the Northwest Superintendent of Schools. 

Dr. Hecktor comes to Northwest from the Wentzville School District, where she was the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Dr. Hecktor brings a vast amount of educational experience with her.. After beginning her career as a Paraprofessional, she taught English/Language Arts and Special Education in middle and high schools at the Francis Howell, Pattonville, and Fort Zumwalt school districts. Dr. Hecktor has served as a Special Education department chairperson, dyslexia coordinator, and ESOL general education liaison in Texas and Florida. She returned to Missouri, where she was named the administrative intern of Westhoff Elementary and the building principal of Fort Zumwalt West Middle School in the Fort Zumwalt School District. She was then named Assistant Superintendent of the Wright City R-II School District, a position she held for three years. Dr. Hecktor has also served as an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University and Maryville University. Dr. Hecktor earned a Doctorate in Teaching and Learning from Maryville University in 2018, an Educational Specialist in Superintendency from Missouri Baptist University in 2015, her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri in 2013, and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education and Special Education from Lindenwood University in 1997. 

Dr. Hecktor is a native of St. Charles and a graduate of Francis Howell High School. She and her husband, Matthew, have three children; a 21-year-old daughter who will begin studying at Jefferson College in August 2022, a son who is a junior in high school, and a daughter in fourth grade.
