Ms. Cynthia Spurgeon

Welcome to Cedar Springs Elementary! My name is Cynthia Spurgeon and I have been a principal in Northwest Schools since 2002. It is an honor and privilege to be part of the CSE community and the quality work going on in our school! I get to work with the most amazing staff, students, parents, and Northwest community members. We are committed to excellence and the process of continuous improvement - ensuring each child's success. Creating Students of Excellence - One Leader at a Time is not possible without everyone working collaboratively toward this common goal. Thank you for all you do to make CSE the best place for every child to learn and lead!

Mrs. Morgan Wallis

Mrs. Wallis has been with Northwest since 2018 with classroom experience in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Morgan is a Northwest alumnus, class of 2012, and enthusiastically shares her love of being a Northwest Lion with fellow staff and students.

Mrs. Wallis earned her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and Masters of Arts in Elementary Administration through Southeast Missouri State University (Go Redhawks!), and returned to Northwest to student teach at Murphy Elementary. Morgan has served in many district and building roles during her time at Northwest, including the District Curriculum and Assessment Team, District Calendar Committee, Empowering Learners Action Team, Lighthouse Team Member, MSTA building representative, Shared Leadership Action Team, and Girls on the Run Coach and Site Liaison.

In her free time, Morgan loves to go camping, watch movies, travel and play with her yellow lab, Gus! She is excited to be a part of the Cedar Springs Elementary team as she continues to show her love and support for the Northwest school community, staff, students, and families.
